The Embroidery -
'I stumbled on this technique of embroidery , using wool and cashmere , some years ago . I loved it instantly and it never ceases to please me . The combination of tiny felted balls of cashmere embroidered on cotton or linen .
The process is very manual , from the preparation of the cashmere through to the embroidery . For the 'rainbow' colourway I choose the first colour in a row and then leave the colours themselves to suggest the sequence . '
A very small production is possible and each piece is entirely unique .
Till now I have been designing and making a small collection of embroidered shirts and t-shirts in italian made cotton and linen for women . In 2020 I began to make some dresses for girls in sizes 2 – 4 – 6 - 8
I showed the first prototype to my friend Sara @cashmerefolie . She loved it and we tried it on her 2 yr old daughter , Bianca . I will never forget the joy on Bianca's face as she looked down at the rainbow colours on the bodice of the dress , she ran her hands over the soft little balls and looked up at her mum with such a happy smile .
A year or so ago another friend of mine Mollie referring to a photo I posted of a shirt and tshirt wrote :
' These shirts just make me happy . Lovely !'
'Happiness is in colour '

CcbyE came about thanks to my neice Clemmie . Without her help I would never have got this far . I received a lot of interest thanks to the fabulous photos Sara took of her girls in my dresses and I started talking it over with Clemmie , an artistic embroiderer and seamstress herself . Together we decided to set up a profile on facebook , dedicated to my embroidered pieces . Finding time between courses at uni in Scotland , she dedicated herself to the profile , leaving me the time to continue with the line . The idea was to bring together in the profile the love for the pieces we make , fabric and fibre , and colour , with our mutual passion for the garden , flowers and nature .
At the start it was mainly the dresses and shirts , but soon we added other cashmere pieces by emma , scarves , hats and other articles . All rotate around the embroidery technique . And now here we are from our profile on Instagram to this our e-shop .
We do hope you will enjoy our world .
