I picked these Hellebore flowers in the garden in the late spring and pressed them , using them in late summer to print this fabulous cashmere scarf .

A criss-cross pattern of stems and flowers eco-printed onto this handloom, knitted cashmere scarf . The choice to knit in a very pale blue cashmere , has given a greeny tone to the colour of the print , mustard yellow tones with touches of a darker brown which outlines the flowers . A particularly beautiful pattern is created because of the placing of the stems and flowers , and makes this a really stunning scarf .

The technique of eco-print has been used on this one of a series of exclusive scarves . Real leaves and flowers ,press-dried have been re-hydrated in copper water , placed on the scarf and rolled into a bundle . Tightly tied , the scarf is then treated in hot water , so that the leaf pattern remains printed on the surface . Each piece is one off , entirely unique , the pattern can not be replicated , the flowers and leaves from the same plant can be used but the pattern will always be different .

These scarves are truly special , and to buy one is to appreciate the astonishing , beauty of the patterns in nature and the natural technique used to print , knowing that no-one has a scarf quite like yours !
