Rose shirt
I have called this recycled night-shirt Rose because of the red and pink tones of the embroidery .
The blouse is in a soft cotton blend with a light rib weave pattern to the fabric . To gauge the trasparency see the photo with the wooden hanger .
The front opens with a four button band which is scallop edged with a lace trim , repeated in two vertical motifs on either side , delicately machine embroidered with white on white flowers. The rounded collar is trimmed with a little lace border . The shape is loose & straight with a drop shoulder . The lower edge is rounded , longer at centre front and back , shorter at the sides , finshed with a stitched rolled hem. The sleeves are wide and long with small button-up cuffs.
I have embroidered the front with my cashmere dots and flowers in tones of pink and red , with touches of green . The button band is embroidered with dots , at the top of the placket , on the inner edge as well , the same dots run around the edge of the collar . Seven flowers are placed at intervals between the white on white floral embroidery . I have exchanged the original plastic buttons with vintage mother-of-pearl ones.
