2nd hand markets are full of old clothes , still with lots of wear left in them. We all have too many clothes in our wardrobes , probably you like me have clothes that you don't wear anymore , still in good shape but maybe they just don't appeal anymore , perhaps you ,like me, have a favourite shirt with little coffee stain on the front meaning you can't wear it anymore but you can't bear to let it go ! I have a solution ; )

This new/old project is dedicated to a sustainable idea I would like to build on . Using my embroidery , dots and flowers , to recycle , to breath new life into old , used or even stained garments. I can also do small alterations to a piece like shortening it , perhaps another reason you don't wear it anymore is because its a little too long .

Here you can find 2nd hand garments that I have found , altered and embroidered . These are one-off , unique pieces and if you like them they are for sale . In the absence of labeIs , size and composition , I will give the measurements of each piece and an idea of the composition . For the most part they will be in cotton or linen , because I personally always prefer natural fibres .

The other side of this project is if you have a shirt , a blouse , a top , a skirt etc , in your wardrobe or that you have found 2nd hand , and you would like me to embroidery it , I would be happy to do so . If you are interested in re-newing one of your garments you will need to contact me directly , I can answer questions , you can show me photos of the piece you would like me to work on , and I can give you an idea of cost and other details.

Before this let me give you the rules and requirements for me to be able to do my embroidery on a piece of clothing , the conditions and costs :

The piece needs to be machine washable at 40°C - if the label says dry clean only I can not embroider - if the label says 30°C but the composition is 100% cotton it will be possible to embroider . It is best if the piece has already been washed in the washing machine by you . Oh ! And I appreciate it if you send clean garments ;)
The ideal composition is cotton , linen , also blends of these two , polyester and blends with , viscose is good but must be machine washable , some are not , check the label (see above) . I will not accept silk because though I am doing some silk scarves I would not want to take the responsibility for a customers silk garment .
No lycra , in blend but not more than 3%
No wool
No stretch fabrics
T-shirts and jersey can only be embroidered in a small quantity - check with me
Any colour, but its better if you have already washed the piece at least once .
Printed fabrics are good , again it depends on the composition and the washing instructions on the label
I need to see a clear photo of the garment , the label, and 'talk' to you before you send the piece . Of course if you want to you can bring it yourself , visit my studio and see the lake ;) , you will need to make an appointment with me in this case.
The part to be embroidered needs to be wide enough for me to be able to sew with the sewing machine , alternatively openable with buttons like a shirt .
The cost depends on the amount of embroidery you want , you will find some examples with relative cost here ( these prices do not include shipping ) . I will give you an total estimate after we have decided together what you would like done to the piece and before you send .
Shipping - these are to be paid by the customer , I will give you a secure depo adress to use , and the return shipping cost will be paid in advance using my tariffe ( see below )
I will need to recieve entire payment before you ship and before I begin trials and embroidery.
Small alterations are possible - shortening and machine stitching a hem costs 6€ , I do need you to pin the piece to the length you recquire before you send it to me.
Timing for the realization depends on the amount of embroidery or if there are alterations - once payment has arrived aprox. 7-10 days
I will not accept more than three garments per order / per customer
I will give you a secure depo adress to ship to , do not send to my studio .
When I receive the garment , should I be unable to embroider it, I will refund you and return the garment , but not the return shipping cost .

I hope that this will not occur and that our preliminary contact will have been done properly , but in the case of me not being able to embroider your garment I will refund the embroidery cost and return the garment , but I cannot refund shipping costs.
When you accept and pay you are accepting that small colour changes are part of this unique technique , that alterations cannot be reversed and that I will be washing your garment in the washing machine at 40°C without fabric softner.
