Wild blackberry , dried leaves and berries have been used to print this beautiful handloom knitted cashmere scarf . The berries have transfered a deep purple colour to parts of the piece , the shape of the stems and little fruits visible in other areas .

The scarf was handloom knitted with subtle stripes of pale natural colours and these can be seen below the print , one end is finished with a light brown contrasting colour , worked into two of the five tassels which decorate this unique piece .

The leaves for this piece were re-hydrated in iron water , before being positioned on the scarf . The piece is then folded and rolled into a bundle , tyed tightly with string and treated in boiling water , left to cool, the scarf can then be un-rolled to reveal the transfered pattern of the stems and leaves .

This printed scarf is truly special , and to buying one of the exclusive series is to appreciate the astonishing , beauty of the patterns in nature and the natural technique used to print them .
